Nerine is an indeterminate salad tomato from Sakata’s local breeding programme. Nerine has very good fruit quality, uniform fruit size and a very good disease package. Nerine has high resistance to Verticillium wilt race 1 (Vd: 1), Fusarium wilt races 1 and 2 (Fol: 1 – 2), Tomato mosaic (ToMV), intermediate resistance to Tomato curly stunt (ToCSV) and Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV). Nerine performed very well during winter production in greenhouse production systems and very good results when grafted on medium strength rootstock.
