Moraleda* is a unique runner bean for production under protection. Under these conditions, it produces the perfect green bean which is suitable for fresh and export markets. Due to its thinner plant frame, it is easier to spray and allow airflow. The optimum plant population is between 22 000 – 25 000 plants per ha. A distance of 1 – 1.6 m between rows with 25 – 30 cm between planting holes is commonly used. Moraleda* is a fast-maturing runner bean with concentrated sets and a short life cycle. The pods of Moraleda* are firm and very straight. Moraleda* have up to 95% pack out of first-class pods. Pods are very uniform with a length of 14 – 16 cm and a diameter of 8 – 9 mm.
