Paulista is a fresh market and pre-pack bean with attractive dark green pods. Paulista has for years set the standard in the french bean segment. Paulista has an excellent presentation in the pre-packs and is a popular variety with chain stores. The pod length is approximately 13 – 14 cm with a diameter of 6 – 9 mm. Days to harvest: 55 – 60 days. Paulista has an excellent disease resistance package with high resistance to Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV), Anthracnose race lambda (Cl: race lambda) and Halo blight race 2 (Psp: 2), intermediate resistance to Bean curly top (BCTV).
