Malelane has been developed for the bulk, pre-pack and processing market.  It has been bred in Africa and is well adapted to local conditions. The field holding ability of Malelane is excellent and seed development is slow.  Its disease resistance and strong vigorous growth can result in a top yield of good quality beans.  The yield potential is very high.  The crop can be machine harvested.
