We are thrilled to announce that Sakata Seed Corporation is expanding its product range by entering the F1 strawberry seed market.
In 2018, Sakata Seed Corporation started breeding F1 strawberry varieties to address issues with storage and transportability while maintaining the excellent taste and softness unique to Japanese strawberries.
The goal is to provide F1 strawberry varieties that combine great flavour and disease resistance specific to the areas where they will be grown.
By joining research, production, and sales efforts, Sakata Seed Corporation aims to commercialize these strawberries from 2025 onwards.
