Sakata proudly hosted an Onion Farmers Day in Christiana, Northern Cape, on 4 December 2024. This event highlighted Sakata’s expansion into the early onion segments, showcasing exciting new varieties tailored for the region’s farmers.
Among the highlights was the Torrent* F1 hybrid, a short-day brown onion variety. This standout onion offers an attractive appearance at harvest, excellent quality, and the ability to reach the market earlier.
