Sakata were once again part of the Nampo Agricultural Show that took place in Bothaville in the Free State in mid-May.  Sakata were well represented by the product development team and sales representatives that manned the Sakata stands during the show.

Nampo has introduced new seed plots this year that gave the seed companies that exhibit at the Nampo show, the opportunity to grow and display their products on a large piece of land during the Nampo show.  Sakata grabbed this opportunity with both hands and worked hard to prepare the seed plot with a range of grasses, including All Seasons Evergreen and Biomosome rehabilitation veld grasses.

Sakata prides itself in delivering quality seed to vegetable producers so there were also various vegetable crops on display for visitors to view Sakata’s exceptional quality products.  The product development team also had the opportunity to tell vegetable producers about new developments and new products within the Sakata range, including long shelf life sweet melon, speciality lettuces, broccoli, peppers and onions.

As always Sakata also catered for the housewife with the well-known MayFord packet range that were on display on the inside stand, in the Caltex Hall.  The visitors had the opportunity to buy vegetables, herbs, flowers and grass seeds from the MayFord range to grow their own product in the garden.

Nampo 2015 proved to be another successful show with almost 70 000 visitors walking through the stands over the period of 4 days.  Sakata is proud to be associated with the agricultural community that supports the show every year, and we will be back in 2016 to celebrate the 50th aniversary of the Nampo show with our customers.
