Here we have a breathtaking field of the Majestic Melon on a farm near Alldays, Limpopo. As can be seen in these pictures, Majestic is a very high yielding Harper type melon. The fruit are very uniform in shape and size, and it has a beautiful, dense net.
Majestic’s outstanding qualities include:
- Average fruit weight of 1.7 – 2.0 kg
- Flesh texture is very firm with consistently high Brix levels of between 14 and 16%
- Deep Salmon-orange flesh and a small seed cavity
- Widely adapted for warm season productions
