Sakata Seed Southern Africa and McDonalds Seeds hosted an Iceberg Lettuce Farmers Day on 21 November 2024, in the New Hanover area, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
This event was all about connecting with local lettuce farmers, showcasing how our varieties perform in their region, and highlighting the critical role that climate and slot times play in choosing the right lettuce variety.
Iceberg lettuce variety Supreme Plus has proven its excellence in the area, while the new variety, Meridian, with its remarkable disease package, shows incredible potential. We’re also thrilled to share that more exciting varieties are in the pipeline.
