Sakata Seeds, in fostering closer relations with government, participated at the North West Department of Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development (READ) 9th Provincial Extension AND Advisory Services Conference and Outreach Programme which was held at Taung Agricultural College.

The theme of the programme, "Agricultural Extension as a Special Purpose Vehicle for Deepening Unity within the Sector for the Advancement of Economic Growth" describes it all.  Paul Ntshabele, Sakata’s manager for emerging markets, presented a paper titled "Making a Quantum Leap from Emerging to Commercial Farming" where he advocated for stronger relations between government and the private sector to work together for uplifting of emerging farmers.
