Falcon have wings in the Free State

Jun 7, 2017 | General

Falcon, one of Sakata’s outstanding beet varieties, shows its fantastic potential once again.  Lance de Villiers from Lamaine Boerdery in Bloemdal, Bloemfontein were very satisfied with the outstanding and uniform germination of his Falcon seed.  The end result speaks for itself in this picture – extremely uniform roots of exceptional quality!

Falcon is a very early maturing F1 hybrid that can be sown all year round in South Africa.  The roots are very uniform, smooth and are characterized by a round shape, refined taproots and small crowns.  Falcon produces high yields of excellent quality beets suitable for processing and the fresh market.
