Elisa Butter Lettuce – A success story

Elisa butter lettuce is a Sakata variety with a lot of growth and vigour. This is a photo of a satisfied Elisa grower based close to Alma, Limpopo. They cultivated this variety both indoors (shade net) and in the open field and were successful in both. Even though it is not common practice to do a direct sowing of lettuce, these growers trailed it with great success.
