Carvora performed well

In this video, Carvora is being harvested mechanically on farms in the Free state.

Carvora performed well in the central Free state, on sandy soils in the in-between season. Carvora’s strong ‘nantes’ shape (rounded cylindrical) makes it ideal for the pre-packing market. It has good bolting resistance - meaning bolting does not occur with a sudden change in temperature that might occur in an in-between season. This is aided by the carrot being an early maturing variety. This carrot has a good orange colour and a small to medium core.
