Franklin – Intermediate day onion

Jul 24, 2020 | General

A very important aspect for onion producers is being able to store onions for an extended period of time - especially in the Northern and Western Cape. Franklin is a mid- to late intermediate day onion that can be stored for months without any problems. Franklin produces round bulbs with golden brown scales and its yield potential is very high. This can be seen in the photos from two different farms in the Western Cape where one farmer made seedlings and the other did direct planting.
