Another satisfied Sakata farmer

Jacques Taljaard, from Jacques Taljaard Familie Trust in Schweizer-Reneke has sent us a very exciting testimony on watermelon, Daytona.  According to Jacques the hawkers in his area are somewhat sceptical about buying watermelons this time of the year …  but, after cutting one open to show them the interior quality and let them have a taste, he sold all of his Daytona watermelons in only one day!  This once again shows that Sakata quality speaks louder than words!

Daytona is Sakata’s superstar early maturing All Sweet type F1 hybrid watermelon.  The uniform fruit weigh between 10 and 12 kg and are oblong in shape.  Jacques Taljaard can vouch for Daytona’s bright red, firm, crispy internal flesh and excellent sweet taste.  Daytona is also suitable for long distance shipping due to it’s tough, medium-thick rind.
