Sweetbell is a purple shoulder white globe type turnip, with outstanding root uniformity and yield potential. Sweetbell is a vigorous grower forming roots between 5 and 8 cm in diameter. Sweetbell has a pure white flesh colour and a sweet taste with a crisp texture, ideal for salads and garnish.

 

Special Varietal Requirements

  • Sweetbell is suitable for spring, summer and autumn production and not for winter in cool temperate regions
  • Sweetbell is a vigorous grower; hence care should be taken not to apply excessive nitrogen during the growth cycle as this might induce cracking
