Honeypac is a Honeydew type melon suited for open field production. Honeypac is best suited for autumn and winter plantings, producing large-sized fruit with good uniformity and high Brix. The plants are vigorous and have a good leaf cover and strong vines. The fruit has small seed cavities with very firm flesh texture. Fruit are oval in shape, with an average weight of 1.5 – 2.0 kg during the cool season. Honeypac has high resistance to Fusarium wilt race 2 (Fom: 2) and Powdery mildew race 1 (Gc: 1) (ex Ec) and intermediate resistance to Powdery mildew race 2 (Gc: 1) (ex Ec).
