ROOTPOWER

OUTSTANDING QUALITIES

  • HIGH RESISTANCE AGAINST FUSARIUM
  • VERY GOOD SEEDLING UNIFORMITY
  • STRONGER PLANTS IN STRESSED CONDITIONS
  • HIGHER YIELDS

Rootpower is a F1 hybrid, inter-specific Cucurbita maxima x moschata cross which is used as a cucumber or watermelon rootstock. In the nursery, Rootpower gives a high germination percentage with quick and uniform emergence. It provides excellent scarification, whatever the grafting methods, to supply perfect young plants. Rootpower is not prone to hollow stems, which prevents the scion from growing roots through the stem of the rootstock. Rootpower’s strong root system in the field provides high resistance to Fusarium wilt, and a stronger plant in stressed conditions such as wind, cold or high temperatures. Rootpower will also result in higher yields, with perfect internal fruit quality.
