Nativa is a Brasilia-type carrot, that is early maturing and suitable for summer production. These photos were taken at Mannie Salgado’s farm in Balgowan. Mannie has been planting Nativa for the past 5 years with great success. Planting good genetics is just one part of growing a successful crop – the rest is up to the farmer and the practices applied. This season was exceptionally difficult, and Mannie still harvested and produced carrots that are of the highest quality. Thank you, Mannie, for your passion, hard work, and dedication!
