Atlas has done Sakata proud once again when Ozzies Boerdery in the Western Cape harvested an average of 70 ton/ha of this outstanding butternut. The producer were very impressed with the quality of the fruit as well as the excellent yield. A very satisfied Rudolf Rose (left) from Ozzies Boerdery and Jamie Pasques (right), sales representative of Sakata in the Cape are posing with the readily packed butternuts.
Atlas is well known for its large fruit size and outstanding internal quality. Atlas is widely adapted and the overall vigour tends to make it less susceptible to diseases. The flavour of the fruit is excellent with improved colour and high sugars.
