Sweet Dumpling is an attractive Cucurbitapepo type gourd with excellent flavour. The fruit are suitable for baby squash in pre-packs and mature fruit on the fresh market. Plants have a short trailing habit. Fruit set is good and concentrated close to the crown at short intervals. The first fruits are harvestable as baby squashes at 45 – 55 days after sowing. The fruit is a flattened-heart shape, with a cream-white fruit colour and deep green-flecked stripes. The rind is fairly smooth and mature fruit weigh around 350 – 450 g. The rind colour of the baby fruit is a medium creamy white with darker green flecked stripes running vertically to the blossom end.
