Sparkler gets its name from its colour – bright red and a pure white tip that seems to sparkle. Sparkler is adapted to cool season production. The relative maturity is medium, around 26 – 30 days from sowing. Roots are globe shaped, uniform and have a silky smooth shoulder and a refined taproot. Yield potential is good with high quality and uniform roots. Field holding is good. Foliage is medium, healthy and dark green. Sparkler has a sweet and delicious taste, with a crisp texture. Sparkler is used for quality bunching, salad packs and the pre-pack markets.
