Ranguru is a medium maturing, intermediate day brown onion.  Ranguru is a uniform globe-shaped onion with dark brown skin, thin necks and good storage capabilities. This variety has a high yield potential, producing medium sized bulbs (60 – 80 mm). Ranguru has a high tolerance against bolting and is suitable for production in the Northern Cape and Western Cape. This variety also has a very high resistance to Pink root. Ranguru is suitable for direct seeding as well as seedling transplants.
