Silvana is a large framed iceberg lettuce from the Sakata range. This variety has an excellent field holding ability and fits well into the late winter to summer sowing slot. This variety yields a large head, set in a big frame, protecting it against the harsh conditions of the South African summer. Silvana takes 60 – 70 days to mature from seedling transplant. Plants are very uniform and heads have a round shape.
