Red Jewel F1 Hybrid Cabbage

OUTSTANDING QUALITIES

  • WIDELY ADAPTABLE
  • VERY GOOD HOLDING ABILITY
  • EXCELLENT UNIFORMITY AND YIELD POTENTIAL

Red Jewel is an early maturing hybrid, maturing at around 90 days from sowing. Red Jewel is a medium to big cabbage but can also be used for a small (baby) cabbage if the planting density is adjusted accordingly. Red Jewel is very adaptable with a good holding ability. The head shape can be classified as semi-round to round and the internal quality is excellent with very dense layering. Red Jewel is very similar to Red Rookie and these varieties complement each other very well. The outer frame and head have a very dark red/purple colour. Internal colour is purple with white stems. At seedling stage this variety is very vigorous, resulting in a good, strong plant for transplant. Uniformity is also very good in the field.
