OUTSTANDING QUALITIES

  • EXCELLENT INTERNAL QUALITY
  • EXCELLENT BRIX AND FLAVOUR
  • AVERAGE FRUIT WEIGHT 2.5 – 3.5 KG
  • VERY HIGH YIELD POTENTIAL

Cordial is a Piel de Sapo type melon. Flesh texture is very firm with consistently high Brix levels of up to 18 %. The internal quality is its great virtue. It has a crisp white flesh with traditional taste and tolerance to glassiness. Fruit is very uniform, with an average weight of 2.5 to 3.5 kg. Cordial is widely adapted for warm season production. Plants are vigorous with good heat tolerance. Cordial has high resistance to Melon necrotic spot virus (MNSV) and Fusarium wilt races 0-1 (Fom: 0-1) and intermediate resistance to Powdery mildew [(Gc: 1) (ex Ec) & (Px: 1,2,5) (ex Sf)].
