  • FIRM BULBS WITH MULTIPLE STRONG SCALE LEAVES LEADS TO AN EXCELLENT STORAGE ABILITY

Ayoba F1 Hybrid is a medium maturing onion variety with late short day requirements. Ayoba has a very strong growth habit and produces very uniform, high quality, globe shaped bulbs with an attractive golden brown tunic.  Ayoba’s bulbs are refined with medium-thin necks and small basal plates.  In addition, the bulbs are very firm with two to three strong scale leaves (strongscale retention), which indicates an excellent storage potential. Ayoba has a well-developed root system that contributes to its adaptability in the field; furthermore, Ayoba has a high resistance to Basal rot (Foc). Ayoba is suitable for direct sowing and transplants.
