Once again Sakata’s hybrids impressed farmers at a Farmers Day that was held on 22 March 2017 in the Loitokitok region, in the south-eastern parts of Kenya.  Daytona, Sakata’s F1 Hybrid watermelon, looked excellent in the field and farmers could not be more impressed with this variety.

Daytona’s excellent quality and high yield potential is a great motivation for farmers to move over to hybrid seed.  Monica, a F1 Hybrid Determinate Saladette Tomato, also did not disappoint and made its mark amongst the farmers.  Monica has outstanding fruit quality with a very high yield potential and with resistance against multiple diseases it stays a winner for any tomato producer.
