Waltham Imported is a superior selection of Cucurbita moschata type butternut with small to medium size. The fruit is very uniform for an open pollinated variety and has good fruit quality. Plants are vigorous and are widely adapted. Yield potential is average but very good for an open pollinated variety. Fruit weigh 600 – 1 500 g with a cylindrical shape and a bulbous blossom end. The rind is smooth with a tan colour when mature. The mature fruit has a good shelf life and internal quality.
